Royal Robbins

Royal Robbins

Royal Robbins was a climber. One of the best who ever lived. The company he and his wife Liz founded was started at base camp. Camp 4 in Yosemite Valley to be exact. Liz and Royal didn’t climb mountains to conquer them. They climbed because it was good for the soul. And the clothes they made were for people like them. People who lived in base camps all over the world. So they could climb, hike, ride, travel and then climb some more. And not just half dome. Clothes for people to climb off of that couch, over that fear, into uncertainty and onto something new. The clothes Royal Robbins makes today are still cotton, hemp, wool and recycled fibers and they’re still found… in sprinter vans outside Joshua Tree, campsites in Bend, guesthouses in Chiang Mai. And anywhere else you call base camp.

Conceived on Half Dome. Born in Basecamp. Royal Robbins.
